Yunus and Shiiki Social Business Research Center (SBRC) is hosting the annual YY Contest (Yunus and YOU Social Business Design Contest) 2018. The contest provides mentorship to participants and workshops with various guests from different fields. For 2018, 134 teams have applied to participate and 74 individuals applied for “Mentors” segment. The workshop for the teams run through June to September focusing on: Introduction to Yunus Social Business, importance of own real experiences, building a business model, startup, networking, budget planning, presentation skills, financing, mentoring. The Preliminary Contest for both Student Division and Adult Division is scheduled to take place at the end of September. The Grand Champion Contest is then set to take place in October. The contest takes place in cooperation with leading Japanese companies such as Avergence Inc, SoftBank Corp, AS College Corp.
