Currently, the professors associated with the Yunus Centre for Social Business and Wellbeing are operating an applied project. Community intervention work is carried out in nine urban areas with the most vulnerable population due to their poverty and social backwardness. The main intention is to strengthen the capacities of individuals in the medium and long term, preferably children and adolescents (between 6 and 19 years). For this, the following methodological stages are followed:
In this way, the economic, infrastructure, health-feeding and education capacities have been worked on 312 children (6 and 14 years old), 259 adolescents (15 to 19 years old) and 347 adults with a large proportion of women (20 and 44 years old). All this with the support of more than 60 students from the Faculty of Economics and International Relations, as well as students from the health, education and social work areas.
